Crippen Cares™ Non-Profit Spotlight: Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay

Blog, Crippen Cares

We here at Crippen are looking to make 2017 a record-year for giving back to our communities. We will be holding monthly intraoffice fundraisers to benefit 12 different charities this year through our new Crippen Cares™ initiative. Our nonprofit spotlight is on this month’s fundraiser recipient: Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay. They serve 12 counties including Marion, Citrus, Hernando, and Alachua — all in our backyard — and all monies raised locally stay within our community.

Junior Achievement is the largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement’s programs–in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy–ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.

All proceeds from this month’s fundraiser will go directly to the JA Bowl-a-Thon being held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at AMF Galaxy East Lanes, 3225 SE Maricamp Road, Ocala, FL 34471. Crippen has also sponsored a team for this event, which will help Junior Achievement in its purpose to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

To participate in the JA Bowl-A-Thon, please contact Jessica Blagdon, Program Director for Marion and Citrus County Areas, at jessica.blagdon@ja.org or call 352-629-1715.
